We are delighted to publish our first annual report since the Coalition re-branded and re-launched as the Coalition for Personalised Care in October 2020.

Our re-launch offered fresh opportunity to develop enhanced governance arrangements and, under new leadership, take forward an ambitious programme of work focussed on our newly-refined vision of making personalised care a reality for everyone accessing health and care services in England and Wales.

Our strong network of 47 partners expanded further this year, including people with experience of accessing health and social care services, voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations, royal colleges, academic bodies, improvement organisations and health and care practitioners from all walks of life. This diversity helps us gather unique insight, share learning, highlight challenges and encourage change. This network has helped us to develop an extensive resource library to provide support and best practice in all aspects of personalised care.

Our core sub-groups continued to deliver valuable projects in the fields of co-production, communities and communications, whilst specific task groups worked on the topics of health inequalities, the treatment backlog and patient experience.

Throughout the year we held numerous roundtable events, webinars, workshops and network events. We supported partners as they promoted their work, resources and awareness days, as well as working closely with NALW, SCIE, Community Catalysts and The Health Creation Alliance to produce the report Understanding and Aligning Link Worker and Community Capacity Building.
