This document is best approached as a reflective tool that couches co-production within trauma informed principles and ethical practice.
There is little literature that focuses specifically on how we might think about service and system co-production from a trauma informed perspective. In applying this lens, a number of areas are raised that
we need to consider.
The guiding principles of a trauma informed framework are:
- safety
- trustworthiness and transparency
- peer support
- collaboration
- empowerment, voice and choice
- cultural humility
These principles underpin all aspects of this document.
